Hi, and Welcome!
If you visited our booth at the San Diego Mini-Makerfaire, Thanks! Perhaps a friend directed you here. Either way, Welcome! Please enjoy this entire site, but this page is especially for “makers.”
And, please come back here later! I’ve been so busy getting ready for the Faire that I’m not finished with this page yet… but browse the rest of the site for now! And, please check back from time to time to see the progress here!
As you may have seen at the show, you can make a very effective, current-limited colloidal/ionic silver maker with just a few simple and inexpensive parts. Perhaps you picked up one of the free resistors we gave away at the Mini-Makerfaire?
Here’s a “most basic” list of parts:
- 3 – 9V batteries
- 1 – 9V battery clip (RS #270-325)
- 1 – 1.6K ohm resistor
- 1 – Alligator clip lead with a clip at both ends
If you want to “go fancy,” you can add the following in various combinations:
- Power supply
- Indicator LED(s)
- Current Regulating Diode
NOTE: I strongly encourage you to read over all the material on this site as you start to make your own CS, and to do your own research into the best ways to use it.
